renaissance_dance_uogc The Door County Renaissance Fantasy Faire will be set up and staffed mainly by volunteers.  Committees will begin forming soon to ready ourselves for this fantastical event.  We encourage the young and young at heart alike to get involved in the process of creating this most festive occasion.    Contact Us  to find out about  ways to join in getting the faire underway.

                    Volunteer!

It takes a lot of work to start and operate a Renaissance Faire and we can’t do it without some wonderful volunteers. If you are experienced with this type of event, have musical talent or stage experience, construction,  sales and marketing, sewing or language skills, or just wish to help in any way, please  Contact Us to tell us how you would like to take part in this adventure.  Experience is not necessary since many jobs simply require willing people.  Many hands make light work!

Update Winter 2010 - Activity is in progress as we continue prepare props, costumes, and promotional materials for this event.   Whether you have a costume or not, we could really use your assistance!  If you would like to help for a couple hours, a day, or a whole weekend, we would love to have you.

Learn how to dance and party like it is 1559!

Then show guests at the faire how it is done!

Volunteers at the Door County Renaissance Fantasy Faire will play an important role in educating guests about the history, weapons, fashions and language of the Renaissance through their costumes and characters.

Everyone interested in performing at the Door County Renaissance Fantasy Faire is welcome to audition. However, performers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who will also be a cast member.

Contact Us
for a volunteer application or to request more information or to audition.

Sturgeon Bay High schoolers - don't forget, this is a great opportunity
to earn community service hours and have lots of fun while doing it too!

Volunteer Fund-Raising Opportunities
The Door County Renaissance Fantasy Faire will have a fund raising program for clubs and organizations which will allow your club's treasury to build while your members experience and enjoy the Renaissance Faire.  We will offer service groups and organizations the opportunity to staff and operate food and beverage booths or to raise funds in other ways.

Groups must be available to provide volunteers for both weekends of the event (the last weekend in June and the first weekend in July)
